I figure I'll just start from now, and catch you up as we go. ;)
Right now we are in Durham, NC about to head in to 4 shows.
We are staying in the Residence Inn here, and it is honestly the best Hotel I have ever stayed in the states. There's a kitchen and living room, and it would be a great New York studio apt!
It's been a real interesting situation here this week.
We started out opening the show this week with 2 of the craziest shows we've had to perform so far cause we have a swing on vacation, and one of our leads was feeling sick for 2 shows, and then a dancer got sick for a show, so the dance captain and the 2 remaining dancer boys,( ie, Justin and myself), had to pick up all the remaining characters tracks. Dance moves, songs, set moves, spacing and all. Justin and I now call ourselves the Masters of Character, shape shifting and disguise. :)
Also as soon as I got to the theater and walked in the first hallway and saw past shows handiwork on the walls, I knew I was going to have to paint a mural up for our show, but of course no one told me before hand so I could possibly prepare for it, and what's worse there was no projector here so I've had to do it all freehand. ( and no one better complain)
I 've been in a funk this week cause though our hotel rooms are immaculate, it's felt like a prison since we are in the middle of no where with only car access. Man I have to get my license already. So I've been feeling un motivated this later half of the week, But I think I hit my stride I think, I think I know what I have to do now to actually keep "Living" on tour.
So here's to a new way to be human!
